After hours phone number: Pt calls the office phone number 

When a patient calls after hours they will be directed to one of the surgical assistants that are on call (the surgical assistants rotate on call). If a doctor is needed once the call has been assessed the assistant will contact the doctor directly. 

Dr. Holmes and Dr. Smith take the emergency calls from the hospital but first is the on call assistant.
