How to Add a Referral

Organizations can manage 100% of their referrals within LeadingReach. When a referral comes from outside LeadingReach, such as by phone or fax, it can be added to your list incoming referrals.

How to Add a Referral

  1. Select the Add tab.
  2. Click +Add a New Patient and then enter patient's information.
    • If the patient has an existing record, enter the patient's name or date of birtch and then click Search Patients.
  3. Enter the provider or organization name that sent the referral and then click the appropriate search button.
    • In the dialog that appears, select the provider or organization name and then click Select Provider.
    • Optional:
      1. if nothing appears in your search results, click +Add a New Contact and then enter referring provider's information
      2. To change how the referral was received, select Fax and then select an option.
  4. Select the Provider drop-down list and then select the intended provider
    • If you have more than one location, select the Location drop-down list and then select the intended location.
  5. Optional: Select the status, enter referral information, attach files, and select the time sensitivity.
  6. Click Add.
