MetLife usually needs the ssn

Phone # for the ins is to be able to give an accurate OOP quote at the time of the appt

Make sure to ask if the pt has a bridge on teeth when scheduling for a Con/E

If a pt is wanting to cancel 24hrs before their appt, make them aware of a $100 cancellation fee.

For new pt, if they cancel 3 times then they cannot be booked again

Email Samantha or call the office if I am unsure if I should be telling someone about the $100 cancellation fee.

The $100 fee is to cover any lost costs, including if any medication was pulled in prep for the appointment.

Always run through the schedule when booking, even if I just went though it. DO IT AGAIN. People call to cancel all the time.

Always tell pt about the cancellation list. We would much rather have a bunch of people on the list to be able to move up, than have
no one on the list who can fill an empty slot.

Starting June and July, try to book consults starting at 12 because we want to fit in as many IV procedures as we can.

November and December will be the same.

When emailing to place someone on the cancellation list, I don't need to put who the point of contact is, but if they have a common

name like Smith, put the time that the appt is to make it easier tom find.

Blocked days for IV only will be done far ahead of time and will be noted with an FYI message and the day stops at 2:30pm

Don't double book anything that isn't con/3
New pt is never put down for an IV

Are 3rds fully erupted? or breaking through the gumline?

Never book in the last 10 of the day

Make sure to get the ins phone number as well as all other info

Need ref Dr., what they need to be seen for, insurance info, (make sure it is in network and if not, let them know)

For con/e ask about done density meds, blood pressure meds, and about their overall health,

"Eval 3rds for extract// Dr. _ // x-rays and ref on file //

NEED REFERRAL TO BE SEEN AT ALL!!!!

Always look in contact notes for *** notes. That means that they are important and need to be read before booking. can consist of
deposits needed or time extended beyond the regular timeframe.

Delta dental needs to know what state the ins is from. If they don't know the state, ask for the phone number because delta has one for every state

You only really need zip code and not the entire address

Pt can request to consult first and not do same day surgery. Not everything wants or needs to be the same day, it's just easier. Let pt
know that if they opt for not doing the same day that the surgery day will be far out because Dr. Paul books far out in advance.

Cronectomy needs a special form, put it in the appointment notes

if that is what the pt is coming in for Look at the treatment plans if they are an established patient. The treatment plans will tell you a lot about what is happening and what they need to book for.

Most established pt have treatment plans, if they don't, they are new patients!!!!

Con/E can be booked if they have an abscess but they must be on antibiotics for 5 days before their appointment.

Laughing gas can be added to the treatment day of.

If existing pt with the same treatment plan is calling to talk about IV or medications, the office will call the patient to talk through their questions.

You can only book a 30min next to a 40min or 40+ min.
